AWS Account SentinelEnvironment awareness for AWS Console

Privacy Policy

Effective September 18, 2026

AWS Account Sentinel is a Chrome extension that helps users recognize the AWS account environment they are viewing and optionally keep a local record of why access was needed.

Information handled

How information is used

This information is used only to identify the active AWS environment, display visual account context, require an access reason for user-selected environments, and show or export local access history.

Storage and transmission

Sharing and sale

The extension does not sell, rent, share, or transfer user data. It does not use data for advertising, profiling, creditworthiness, or any unrelated purpose.

Retention and user control

Access records remain in local extension storage until the user clears them in the Control Center or removes the extension. Users can export records as CSV before deleting them. Synced settings are managed by Chrome Sync.

Security

All extension logic is packaged locally and host access is limited to AWS Management Console pages. Access records are not a tamper-proof compliance ledger and do not replace organizational audit, IAM, or approval controls.

Children's privacy

The extension is intended for professional and organizational AWS users and is not directed to children.

Policy changes

Material changes to data practices will be disclosed in the Chrome Web Store listing and reflected here with a new effective date.

Contact

Questions can be submitted through the Support section of the AWS Account Sentinel listing in the Chrome Web Store.

Limited-use statement

AWS Account Sentinel's use of information is limited to providing and improving its disclosed single purpose. User data is not transferred for advertising or unrelated purposes, and the developer cannot read user data because the extension transmits no user data to the developer.
